The Sustainable Terrace House is a Pineapple Award Winner 2023!
Last week Jonathan Tuckey, Director, and Catarina Kohut, Associate, attended the prize giving at Brixton Department Store on a balmy summer evening. Industry leaders in architecture and construction provided prestigious competition in the shortlist; from city centre landscape masterplans to affordable housing schemes instigated by local communities.
Hosted by The Developer Magazine, the Pineapples celebrate the very best in place making; recognising projects that make a positive social, environmental and economic impact on local communities.
Our Sustainable Terrace House proposal won the Climate Resilience Prize. The research scheme questions how existing built stock can be better equipped for contemporary living. Cork extensions, reconfigured interiors, an improved thermal envelope and implementation of public gardens would harness a greater quality of life for residents.
The project has been received very well by local councils and we hope this award continues the momentum to gain funding in the near future.
