Pocket Edition

Following an invited competition, we were commissioned by Pocket Living to create a set of design guidelines for the interior spaces of their new range of open market homes, Pocket Edition. The new two- and three-bedroom apartments will co-exist alongside Pocket’s well-known one-bedroom homes in mixed developments.

Pocket homes are designed to make best use of space, as well as utilising functional materials and fittings.  We developed a utilitarian selection of warm, textural and calm materials that will age well over time. The internal spaces will be divided between private and communal spaces. ‘Introverted’ bedrooms and bathrooms will be grouped together in the floor plan, while the ‘extroverted’ entrance hall, kitchen and living room are generously proportioned and arranged more freely for adaptation across different developments.
